The “000-17,” which was added to the Standard Series in 2025, combines Martin’s traditional design with modern refinements.

Key specifications include a solid mahogany top, solid mahogany sides and back, a select hardwood neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge.

The body features the 000 (Triple-O) shape, known for its moderate size and well-balanced tone. It combines a 24.9-inch (approx. 632 mm) short scale with a Golden Era Modified Low Oval neck shape to deliver comfortable playability.

In addition to the traditional dovetail neck joint, it features the Golden Era scalloped X-bracing also found in the Modern Deluxe series.
It combines the warm midrange characteristic of mahogany with a lively response and clear tonal definition.

As for its condition, while there are some minor scratches and scuffs from use, there are few noticeable signs of wear overall, and it remains in relatively good condition.

There is a slight bulge on the top.

The neck has a very slight forward bow, and there is a slight rise in the high-fret area.

The string action at the 12th fret is approximately 2.7 mm on the 6th string and approximately 2.1 mm on the 1st string; the guitar is currently playable.

The truss rod has been tested for movement up to 60 degrees in both directions; while there are currently no issues with its adjustment function, the remaining adjustment range is somewhat limited.

The frets are at a playable height, with approximately 70% of their original material remaining.

It comes with the original hard case.
