A used 2014 Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Explorer Mahogany Elbow Cut VOS Natural is now in stock!

As the model name suggests, the Explorer is made of mahogany for the body and neck and rosewood for the fingerboard.
This guitar was inspired by the guitar used by the world famous guitarist during his first visit to Japan in 1974.

The most distinctive feature of this guitar is the large elbow cut on the 6-string side of the body.
The elbow cut process also greatly reduces the overall weight and changes the weight balance.

The neck shape is similar to the "Authentic Chunky C-Shape," which is thicker and more comfortable to hold, and the pegs are of the normal size rotomatic type made by Grover.

Two "Custombacker Alnico III" pickups and a Bumblebee replica condenser are mounted.

The sound is fat with mahogany wood, thick neck, and elbow cut, and contrary to its sweet image, it has a wonderful balance of tight bass, tenacious midrange, and beautiful high register with good rise.

It weighs only 3.2 kg, and the elbow cut makes it feel a little smaller than it is, which is a nice point.

The appearance is also very clean, with about 80% of the frets remaining, and we have confirmed that the truss rod turns in both directions without any problems.

2014年製 Gibson Custom Shop 1958 Explorer Mahogany Elbow Cut VOS Naturalが中古にて入荷致しました！

モデル名にも入っている通り、ボディやネックにマホガニー、指板にはローズウッドを使用したエクスプローラー。
このギターは世界的有名ギタリストが1974年に初来日した際、使用していたギターからインスピレーションを受けて製作されたモデル。

一番特徴的なのは何と言っても、ボディ6弦側の肘の当たる部分が大きくカットされている点でしょう。
エルボーカット加工によって全体の重量も大きく減り、重量バランスも変化。

ネックシェイプは太く握りごたえのある「Authentic Chunky C-Shape」に近いシェイプを採用し、ぺぐにはGrover製の通常サイズのロトマチックタイプを搭載。

ピックアップは「Custombacker Alnico III」を２基、コンデンサーはバンブルビー・レプリカを搭載。

サウンドはマホガニー材と太めのネック、エルボーカットと相まって太く、甘いイメージとは裏腹に、タイトな低音域や粘り強い中音域と立ち上がりが良く綺羅びやかな高音域のバランスが素晴らしい１本でございます。

重量も3.2kgと軽く、エルボーカットにより持った感覚は少し小ぶりに思うほど取り回しが良いのも嬉しいポイント。

外観も非常に綺麗で、フレットも約８割ほど残っており、トラスロッドがも問題なく両方向回ることを確認しております。
