1983年製 Jazz Bass Ivoryが入荷いたしました。
ダン・スミス・エラに製作された本機は、元々コントロール部まで覆った大きなワンピースのピックガード仕様となり短期間のみ製作れたレアなスペックでしたが、本機はピックガード交換(何箇所かネジ穴の増設あり)とコントール・プレートが追加されており、一般的なジャズベースのスタイルに変更されております。
そのため、オリジナルのホワイトのピックアップ・カバーとストラトキャスターのノブも相まって、独特なルックスに仕上がっております。
その他にはポット、ストラップ・ピンが交換されております。
アルダー・ボディ&メイプル・ワンピース・ネック仕様で、バイフレックス・トラスロッドを備えています。
ピックアップはネック側にブラック・ボビン、ブリッジ側にレッド・ボビンのオリジナル・ピックアップを搭載。
リナット&リフレットが行われており、指板面は再塗装されております。
フレットは十分に高さが残っており、ネック・コンディションも良好で、トラスロッドも両方向に余裕がございます。
外観上は年式を考慮すればクリーンなコンディションですが、ジャック脇のボディサイドに大きな打痕があり、上から接着剤にて補修されております。
ケースはノンオリジナルですが、Fenderのブラック・トーレックス・ケースが付属します。

A 1983 Jazz Bass in Ivory has arrived.
Built during the Dan Smith era, this instrument originally featured a large one-piece pickguard that covered the control panel—a rare specification produced for only a short time. However, this particular model has had its pickguard replaced (with additional screw holes in several places) and a control plate added, resulting in a style more typical of standard Jazz Basses.
As a result, combined with the original white pickup covers and Stratocaster-style knobs, it has a unique look.
Additionally, the pots and strap pins have been replaced.
It features an alder body and a one-piece maple neck, equipped with a Bi-Flex truss rod.
It is equipped with original pickups: a black-bobbin pickup on the neck side and a red-bobbin pickup on the bridge side.
It has been re-notted and re-fretted, and the fingerboard has been refinished.
The frets retain sufficient height, the neck is in good condition, and there is ample adjustment range on the truss rod in both directions.
Visually, it is in clean condition considering its age, but there is a large dent on the body side next to the jack, which has been repaired with adhesive.
The case is not original, but a black Fender Tolex case is included.
