The MAGMA57 successfully brings the best amp sounds—from the warm, jazzy clean tones of the Magnatone 200 series to swirling, psychedelic modulation sounds—to your pedalboard. The combination of lush, shimmering vibrato and smooth, clear drive tones recreates the sounds that have inspired legendary guitarists and renowned amp designers.
WHEN IS VIBRATO REALLY VIBRATO?
The MAGMA57 recreates the pitch-bending vibrato effect found in the Magnatone Custom 260 and 280 models from the late 1950s. Unlike the volume-only tremolo found in other amplifiers, these premium combo amps featured a unique two-stage vibrato circuit that provided true pitch modulation. For many guitarists, that sound remains the benchmark for vibrato.
FINEST BLEND
The MAGMA57 is more than just pitch modulation. It features two blend modes, further expanding the range of captivating modulation flavors.
Combining the wet and dry signals in the same phase reproduces the classic phase-shifted pseudo-rotary speaker effect of the Univox Uni-Vibe.
When mixed with a 180-degree phase shift, both phase modulation and amplitude modulation are generated, creating the MAGMA57’s signature, stunning chorus-style effect.
A WINNING COMBO
The MAGMA57’s amp section is inspired by the Magnatone Model 213 “Troubadour.” This dual 6V6 combo expands on the Tweed Deluxe sound by gently rolling off the low end and adding its own unique semi-passive, semi-active tone controls.
The MAGMA57 features a fully tube-amp-style signal path recreated with discrete analog circuitry, delivering an amp tone with a complex and dynamic response thanks to Origin Effects’ Reactive Drive Technology.
POWERFUL POST-DRIVE EQ
The post-drive EQ allows you to adjust the pedal’s output to match your amp, ensuring your overdrive tone always sounds its best.
The MAGMA57 features a tour-friendly power amp mode that is compatible with flat-response power amps.
REMOTE CONTROL
It features a footswitch jack (TRS) for connecting effect switching systems such as the Boss ES-5 and The GigRig G2, as well as a tap tempo switch.
There are no noticeable scratches, and it is in good condition.
