A used 2025 Historic Collection 1959 Les Paul Standard has just arrived!

The Historic Collection is a line within the Gibson brand dedicated to faithfully recreating vintage Gibson models. Its meticulous attention to detail has captivated many guitarists.

This model recreates the legendary 1959 Les Paul Standard—particularly popular during Gibson’s “Golden Era” and affectionately known as the “Burst”—featuring a beautiful two-piece maple top with curly flame and a one-piece mahogany back, along with a solid mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard.
The set-neck construction features a long tenon and is glued using animal glue, faithfully reproducing vintage Gibson manufacturing methods such as the tubular truss rod and long studs/anchors.

The headstock features the Gibson logo, a silkscreen-printed “Les Paul Model” inscription, and Kluson Single Line/Single Ring tuners.
The bound neck with dish inlays features the “Authentic ’59 Medium C” neck profile—which has just the right thickness to fit comfortably in the hand—and 22 medium-jumbo frets, delivering outstanding playability.

It is equipped with two “Custom Bucker (Unpotted)” pickups using Alnico 2 magnets. The 2-Vol/2-Tone/3-Way Selector controls utilize CTS pots with a vintage curve, Luxe bumblebee replica capacitors, and Switchcraft jacks.

The finish is “Lemon Burst,” where the reddish tones of the sunburst have faded over time, leaving the underlying yellow base color visible. The back features a “Faded Back” finish that replicates the appearance of faded aniline dye, and the overall finish is VOS.

It appears the previous owner hasn’t played it since purchasing it, so it remains in pristine condition with no playwear, and at 3.75 kg, it’s an exceptionally lightweight instrument.
