This is the “Voodoo-Vibe,” one of Roger Mayer’s signature models. Based on the serial number (101297), we have determined it was manufactured in 1997.

The Voodoo-Vibe is a modulation pedal developed from the classic Uni-Vibe sound using Roger Mayer’s unique approach. It is not merely a clone; it features a wider range and greater expressiveness, producing organic modulations that go beyond the boundaries of standard chorus and vibrato effects.It handles a wide range of sounds, from the three-dimensional tones reminiscent of Jimi Hendrix and Robin Trower to ethereal modulation effects.

・SPEED: Adjusts the speed of the effect’s modulation. (RANGE/FINE: RANGE sets the general speed range, while FINE allows for fine-tuning within that range.)
・INTENSITY: Adjusts the depth of the modulation.
・SYMMETRY: A unique Roger Mayer control that adjusts the symmetry of the modulation waveform.
・BIAS: A control that adjusts the operating point of the modulation circuit.
・OUTPUT: Adjusts the output level.
・EXTERNAL SPEED (TO/FROM): Connect an expression pedal to adjust SPEED.
・INPUT: Input jack
・AMP1/AMP2 (OUTPUT): Two output jacks

It features a warm, full-bodied midrange and a unique, three-dimensional tremolo effect. In chorus mode, it produces thick, three-dimensional clean and lead tones, while in vibrato mode, it delivers a dreamlike sound with a wavering pitch. It also pairs exceptionally well with fuzz and overdrive pedals, making it versatile enough for a wide range of styles, from classic rock to blues and psychedelic soundscapes.

No accessories included; unit only. A tape with the serial number is affixed to the back of the unit (the manufacturer’s serial number is printed on the circuit board). While there are some general signs of wear and tear, the unit functions perfectly and is ready for use.
