USED Gibson Memphis / 50th Anniversary 1959 ES-335 VOS Historic Burst -2009- [04]

The “50th Anniversary 1959 ES-335 VOS,” released in 2009 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1959 ES-335, has arrived in stock.

The previous year saw the release of a 1958-spec model, followed the next year by a 1960-spec model, each released as a limited edition of 250 units.

Production was handled by the now-defunct Memphis Factory.
At the time, the Memphis Factory was primarily responsible for regular models, but following the release of these models, it began offering a lineup of reissue models that would later evolve into the Historic Series.

The finish is the beautifully colored “Historic Burst.”
The metal parts have been aged, giving the guitar an overall understated and attractive look.

The neck features the “1959 Rounded” shape, which is significantly fatter than current models; it has a gentle taper and offers a solid, thick grip even in the lower positions.

It’s equipped with the classic “57 Classic” pickups.
It pairs well with amplifiers, offering just the right amount of compression and sustain, and can be used across a wide range of genres, from clean to driven tones.

It also faithfully reproduces other 1959 specifications, such as dot position markers, a long pickguard, and a solid center block.

Visually, there are some minor scuffs, but no noticeable scratches at first glance.
The neck is in good condition, and there is plenty of play left in the truss rod.
Since the frets show almost no wear, this is a guitar in excellent playing condition.

It comes with the original hard case and certificate of authenticity.
