BB700 Series

A multifunctional model featuring precise sound shaping via a 3-band active equalizer and switchable active/passive modes. It features a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The miter-bolted neck joint creates a powerful resonance that integrates seamlessly with the body. It is equipped with a convertible-type bridge that can be adjusted to suit your preferences.

The new BB series features a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The hard maple sandwiched between the alder on both sides enriches the midrange and produces a resonant body tone that blends seamlessly into the band’s sound. Furthermore, the use of maple for the body allows for direct sound transmission from the maple neck, reducing sound loss between the body and neck and ensuring that string vibrations are reliably transmitted.
Miter Bolting for a Secure Neck Joint

We employ a miter bolting system that adds two screws—securing the neck end at a 45-degree angle from the back of the body—to the four screws that secure the neck vertically from the back of the body. This firmly bonds the body and neck, producing a powerful, resonant tone that feels like a single, unified unit. Compared to a standard bolt-on joint, this design minimizes energy loss from string vibration, delivering rich sustain and overwhelming body resonance.
Newly Developed Pickup: YGD Custom V7

Features a newly developed, proprietary pickup. Combined with the alder/maple/alder body construction, it delivers a clear, cutting sound that stands out in a band. Available on the 700 Grade and Pro Grade models.
Active Circuit

The 700 Grade of the new BB allows you to switch between active and passive circuits with the flip of a switch. The active circuit is tuned specifically for the new BB’s well-defined tone. Furthermore, the treble knob on the 3-band equalizer functions as the master tone control when using the passive circuit; its sophisticated design ensures there is no difference in volume when switching between modes.This allows for smooth, stress-free switching with natural tone adjustments. High-quality, gold-plated parts are used to minimize the risk of poor contact or sound quality degradation. The battery alert LED on the back panel lights up to warn you when it’s time to replace the batteries, preventing sudden power loss on stage.
Controller Section

The new BB700 grade features a 3-band active equalizer, as well as an active/passive circuit switch and a pickup balancer that flexibly accommodate the player’s tone-shaping needs.
Convertible-Type Bridge & Saddle

The 700 and Pro grades feature a “string-through-body” construction, in which the strings pass through the back of the body. Compared to the conventional method of routing strings vertically from the back of the body, routing them at a 45-degree angle transmits the energy of string vibration to the body with minimal loss.In the conventional “string-through-body” method, where strings pass directly beneath the saddle, there is significant loss of string vibration at the plate and saddle, making it difficult to transmit string vibration efficiently and reliably. However, by cutting the bottom of the body at an angle and routing the strings at a 45-degree angle, stress on the strings at the saddle is reduced.The different contact points of the semi-circular saddles accommodate a wide range of the player’s expressiveness, from crisp, clear tones to warm, resonant sounds. The Vintage Plus Bridge’s brass saddles produce deep, rich bass tones, while the steel plate delivers a bright sound. Metal parts such as springs and screws are made of stainless steel to ensure resistance to rust and corrosion.

* We recommend long-scale strings when routing the strings over the bridge from the top, and super-long-scale strings when routing them from the back of the body.
5-Piece Neck

Featuring a 5-piece neck constructed from maple and mahogany, this guitar delivers a crisp, sharp sound. The design prevents warping and twisting, keeping the neck in a consistently playable condition, while the warmth of mahogany complements the tight, defined sound of the maple.
Design Neck

The neck profile has been updated to be thinner compared to the previous BB model, delivering excellent playability suited for the modern music scene.
Lightweight Tuners

To match the new BB’s thinner, lighter body, we’ve adopted tuning pegs that are lighter than those on the previous model. This improves the overall body balance and delivers an optimal playing experience.
