New for 2021, the Fodera Empire 5 Standard Special is in stock and almost never used 2024!

This guitar has the optional Figured Imbuya Top and Birdseye Maple Fingerboard, and is in clean condition with almost no damage.

Imbuya is widely distributed in South America and is used as tonewood in recent years because of its moderate altitude.
It is different from walnut and rose with similar coloring of dark brown, and its complex grain is impressive and makes the individuality of this wood stand out.
High quality alder was selected for the back, which matches well with the invoices and produces a very well-balanced tone.

The three-piece quarter-sawn hard maple neck is solid and secure, and the fingerboard is made of beautifully grained bird's-eye maple with eye-catching Avalon dot inlays, and the Fodera butterfly logo on the head is made of blue Avalon.

Fodera/Duncan dual-coil pickups and a Fodera/Pope 3-band preamp combine to deliver a pleasant tone in both active and passive positions for a high-end, hi-fi Fodera sound.
The pickups are equipped with tap switches, which activate the outer coils of both pickups when single-tapped.
This allows for a deep yet crisp tone reminiscent of a Fender (due in part to the bolt-on construction).
