This is one of Martin's most popular vintage series. This model has the herringbone specifications of the golden age of the D-28, including a solid V-shaped neck, long saddle, and forward-shifted and scalloped bracing.
The forward-shifted and scalloped bracing is used to further pursue the vibration of the body top, which allows the player to obtain sufficient volume with a light touch and a wide dynamic range.
The entire top of the body has been scratched by the previous owner to give it the appearance of an instrument that has been used by a previous owner. It is not a beautiful appearance, but we recommend this instrument for players who will use it as hard as they can.
The pickguard and saddle have been remade, and the neck has been reset and refretted, so it is in excellent playing condition. There is a paint crack on the lower part of the bridge, but it does not reach the wood and the crack is where the bracing is installed.
If you want to enjoy playing a vintage-like sounding Martin dreadnought, this is the one for you.
