2016 Gibson Acoustic Custom Shop "Hummingbird Red Spruce" is in stock!

The "Hummingbird" is a Torre Domer with a gorgeous pickguard depicting a hummingbird sucking on a dense hummingbird.
Since its release in 1960, the "Hummingbird" has been trusted by guitar players for its beautiful, distinctive, stage-ready looks and well-proportioned, easy-to-play sound.

This instrument is made of Adirondack red spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge.

The normal lineup uses Sitka spruce for the top, but this Custom Shop model uses red spruce, which has a thicker grain and a bolder sound with a bolder tone. The Custom Shop version is made of red spruce, which has a thicker, bolder tone.

The design has a good old-fashioned feel with its cruson pegs and vintage cherry sunburst VOS.
The pickup system is equipped with L.R. Baggs' ELEMENT VTC pickups as standard.
This is one that will definitely work well for live use and recording.

The instrument was made in 2016 and is in good condition for its age, with some minor scratches and dings throughout the body, but it is in relatively clean condition.
The neck is in good condition, so playability is not a problem and you will enjoy playing it.

This beautiful and powerful Hummingbird was produced in limited quantities worldwide. This is a rare one, so if you are interested in it, please contact us as soon as possible.

密を吸うハチドリが描かれた豪華なピックガードがトーレードマーの"Hummingbird"。
1960年の発売以降、その美しく特徴的なステージ映えするルックスと均整の取れた扱いやすいサウンドでギタープレイヤー達から厚い信頼を獲得し続けています。

本器は、トップ材にアディロンダック・レッドスプルース、バック＆サイド材にマホガニー、ローズウッド指板＆ブリッジの仕様。

通常ラインナップであれば、トップ材にシトカ・スプルースが採用されておりますが、こちらのCustom Shop製は杢目が太くサウンドも太く、骨太なトーンを持つレッドスプルースを採用。よりGibsonらしい豪快でアメリカンなサウンドを実現しております。

また、クルーソン・ペグ、ビンテージ・チェリー・サンバーストVOSといった古き良き風合いを持つデザインを採用。
ピックアップシステムにはL.R.Baggs社製ELEMENT VTCピックアップを標準装備。
ライブでの使用やレコーディングでも間違いなく活躍する1本です。

本器は2016年製で年代相応のコンディションで、ボディ全体をとして擦り傷・打痕が細かく散見されますが、比較的綺麗な状態です。
ネックコンディションも良好でございますのでプレイアビリティも問題なく、演奏をお楽しみいただけます。
