This "Champ Lap Steel Guitar" was designed by Leo Fender, the founder of Fender, and was released in 1949.

The Fender Champ Lap Steel has been used in Hawaiian music and other genres, but the versatile sound of the Fender Champ Lap Steel has made it a popular instrument in a wide variety of music scenes.

The "Champ Lap Steel Guitar" in stock this time is an improved version of the lap steel guitars produced in the days of K&F Manufacturing, the predecessor of Fender, which was jointly owned by "Doc Kaufman" and "Leo Fender" and sold as a student model. This model was sold as a student model.

It has some color burns, dings, and scratches that remind us of its age, but it has a stately look.

The green anti-slip surface on the back of the body is still in place, and the Fender sticker is still there, although it is missing a little. The pegs work smoothly, but the tuning accuracy is still a little lax.

There is no electrical replacement. The condenser is Circle D and the pickups are original black bobbins. Both the volume and tone operate smoothly without any buzzing.

This "Champ Lap Steel Guitar" has a bright and piercing tone, and is a piece of Fender's history, so it is not only a collector's item, but we highly recommend this lap steel to players as it can be played easily.
