The 808 MOD is the result of a collaboration between Mr. Susumu Tamura, the developer of the original TS overdrive pedal, and Ovaltone.

The 808 modification spotlights the secret op-amps that Mr. Tamura has always used in his TS-type collaborations, and Ovaltone's interpretation of the op-amps has been tuned to bring out their best characteristics.

The result is an expressive reproduction with a sense of edge rich in overtones, a tight bottom while extending, a midrange with a sense of presence, and a fine gradation of strength and weakness in the tone.
In addition, the volume level is larger than normal, making it easier to handle.

The OVALIZED SCREAMER series (9 and 10) was a modification that was made with the goal of upgrading the sound but not deviating too much from the original sound character. The 808ts seems to inherit the superficial sound of the original, but the response and three-dimensionality of the input performance are now quite different from the current normals.

The model name is "OVALIZED SCREAMER 808ts", using the T and S of Tamura Susumu.
