Fender Custom Shop / Limited Edition 64 Telecaster Relic Aged Black is in stock!

This is a limited edition of Fender Custom Shop 2022 Fall Event.

Body is 2-Piece Select Alder with "Lacquer" coating, neck is Qtr-Sawn Maple, and fingerboard is Rosewood. Neck shape is 60 Style Oval "C", fretboard radius and frets are 9.5" Radius & 6105 Narrow/Tall Fret. The combination of a non-habit neck grip and a near-flat 9.5R fingerboard and frets provides a neck feel that supports both classical and technical playing.

Pickups are a combination of hand-wound Hand-wound OP-Loaded 51 Nocaster and Loaded 51 Nocaster. The front pickups have an open top cover construction for a more open tone. The rear is a clear and well-balanced PU with a tight bass and midrange.

As for the looks, it has been moderately reliced. The ultra-thin "Lacquer" has been carefully reliced to make the best use of it. The lacquer coating is not just peeled off, but is processed while considering how the lacquer coating will be scraped off when played. It can be said that it is a quintessential example of how the relic process is applied without any sense of discomfort. The combination of the black color and the tortoiseshell guard is one of the coolest.

Of course, not only the painted surface, but also the scratches, scuffs, stains, and dents on the body and the Bartz have been realistically reproduced to show the aging of the instrument. As this is a limited edition model, "Limited Edition" is written on the neck plate and decal on the back of the head.

The tortoiseshell guard has been replaced. The original is also included, but the original has been modified to allow truss rod adjustment and the mounting holes have been drilled to allow the front PU to be used in a fishing bell style. Currently, a general-purpose PG is installed, but due to the screw holes, one screw does not stop. There are no additional screw holes in the body.

The condition is good for playability, including the truss rod.
