Guild" is a world-renowned acoustic guitar manufacturer representing the United States.
Guild produces guitars that combine wild sound and delicacy, and is a favorite of many musicians both in Japan and abroad, both public and private.

The "D-55" guitar in stock this time is Guild's top-of-the-line flat-top model.
It was already introduced as a custom model around 1968, and in 1976, it was sold as part of the regular lineup.

Spruce top, rosewood back and sides, mahogany neck, ebony bridge and fingerboard, GUILD engraved Schaller pegs, pearl and avalon inlays.
The body has been refinished, and the original pickguard has been glue-fixed and bridge glue-fixed, including a fresh coat of paint.
The nut and bridge, bridge pins, and frets have been replaced, and playability has been ensured, including the fingerboard modification.

The neck is in good condition and flat. The strings are set a little high, but this is a good setting for the powerful and soft sound of the D-55.
The non-scalloped bracing of this guitar also gives it a solid and well-balanced sound characteristic, but you can also enjoy the supple tone that only Guild can offer.

This is Guild's top-of-the-line model when it was first released, and is in very good condition with no major repairs.
