Paul Reed Smith has been a world-famous guitar maker with his high quality and sound, such as Santana and Custom24.
In the 1990s, Paul Reed Smith invited Ted McCarty, formerly of Gibson, to join him and released the McCarty model.
The guitar was developed with a more vintage-inspired style than the modern style that had been used up to that point.

The single-cut model was born out of this trend, and the single-cut shape similar to that of the LP was adopted instead of the double-cutaway shape that had been a characteristic of the company.
The neck scale is not PRS scale, but G company scale.

The #7 pickups developed especially for this model are mounted. The sound is thick and powerful.

The new arrival was made in 2000. This is one of the first models manufactured in the early stage, and is quite valuable.
The top of the body is made of 10 top grade, and the coloring is the company's long-loved gray-black.

There is a peeling of clear paint on the fingerboard side of the 6th string near the 16th and 17th frets.
There are also some other signs of use such as slight paint clouding, dulling of parts, minor scratches, and light dings, but no major damage and a clean appearance is maintained.

There was a time when the production of single-cut was discontinued, and there are only a few of them in the market before the reproduction.
