Tom Murphy, a master of aging, was at the helm of aging at the company for many years. He and his team age guitars in his eponymous lab in the Gibson Custom Shop in Nashville, Tennessee, using the latest scientifically validated techniques.

The guitar we have just received has a light aged finish. There are many cracks on the neck and body due to aging, and some of the wood is exposed due to peeling of the paint.

The neck has rolled binding, and the pickups are Custom Bucker, which provides high playability and sound.

The truss rod and playability are excellent.

Many of the original accessories are still present, including the original hard case, certificate of authenticity, pre-pack checklist with dates, back plate for the selector, and papers.
