A Classic J—one of only three ever made about five years ago—has miraculously arrived in like-new condition.

The body features a single-piece swamp ash, and the neck is made of roasted maple, ensuring guaranteed stability.
The active electronics feature the same specs used during the Penza-Ser era: a boost-only treble control and a boost/cut treble control. The pickguard uses Bakelite, the same material found on vintage Telecaster “Blackguards,” giving it an aura that sets it apart from a standard Custom J.
The combination of maple dot inlays, a natural-finish ash body, and "blade-cut" contours and an elbow reminiscent of the early 1960s—specs that never appeared in Fender’s history—is a clever touch.

With a 7.25" fingerboard radius and medium stainless steel frets, the exemplary feel allows you to focus on playing without stress in any position—a true testament to JST craftsmanship.
The bridge is a meticulously crafted GOTOH VINTAGE with spiral saddles, and the HIPSHOT tuning machines ensure tuning stability.

This represents a pinnacle of active J-Bass design by John Suhr, distinct from both Sadowski and Coppolo.
