This special Fender Custom Shop model faithfully recreates the aesthetics of the 1969 Stratocaster with the high precision of today.

The black lacquer finish has peeled off over time to reveal the pink paisley underneath, vividly reflecting the unique design characteristics that symbolized the late 1960s. The heavy-relic finish reproduces the unique character and texture of vintage guitars that have been played for many years in an extremely realistic manner.

The body is made of 2-piece Select Alder to achieve the balanced tone typical of Stratocaster guitars.

The neck is made of quarter-sawn maple with a thick '69 Style "U" shape, which produces a very viscous sound. The 9.5" fretboard radius and Narrow Tall frets provide modern playability while maintaining a vintage feel.

The pickups are believed to be Custom Shop Hand-Wound '69 Strat Pickups, and the careful hand-wound construction enhances the clear and taut sound typical of the late 60s. Vintage-style tremolo and pegs are used for the hardware, and the operation and feel of a traditional Stratocaster are well inherited.

There are almost no scratches that could have been added later, mainly due to the original brick work. The condition is considered to be good.
