USED Orville by Gibson / Korina Explorer Custom E.C. Style [05]

An extremely rare model!! The Orville by Gibson Korina Explorer has arrived!!

Orville, a Gibson sub-brand, was launched in the 1980s.
Even now, more than 20 years after production ended, it remains highly popular, and its value continues to rise with each passing year.

The unit we’ve received appears to be from 1990, based on its serial number.
It features a cutaway body, commonly known as the E.C. style; however, since there are no contemporary records, and given that actual prototypes were produced at the time, it is impossible to definitively determine whether this is the original specification or if it was modified later.

The included hard case is not a generic model but is specifically shaped to fit the body, so it is entirely possible that this is a prototype.

In any case, the Orville Explorer itself is very rare, and since many people prefer this specification, this does not significantly affect its value.

Both pickups are original, with an HB-R and an HB-L mounted.

As this instrument was built over 20 years ago, it does show some signs of use; however, it has been inspected and fully adjusted by our specialist repair team since its arrival, and it is in excellent playing condition.
