A 1965 Gibson SG Junior has just arrived!!

This transitional-era model features a 14-degree headstock angle and a narrow neck—commonly known as a “narrow-neck”—with a nut width of 40 mm. The body and neck are crafted from solid mahogany, and the fingerboard is rosewood. The headstock bears the simple silkscreen logo characteristic of the Junior model and is equipped with three brass-shaft Kluson Deluxe tuners.

The binding-free neck, dot position marks, and simple, single-pickup configuration—a simple and primitive design—will undoubtedly allow for direct, unhesitating playing.

It is equipped with an original P-90 pickup. Controls consist of a simple 1-Volume/1-Tone configuration. The pot dates (137-6529/137-5626) and serial number (516228) indicate that it was manufactured in 1965.

A standard short-vibe roller bridge is mounted.
Replaced parts include the nut and frets. There are signs that different tuning pegs were once installed, and the holes have been filled. The knobs are original, though the volume knob has been repaired after cracking.

While there are some dents and weather checking overall, combined with the fading caused by aging, this guitar has a distinctive, time-worn look. Please consider taking advantage of this opportunity.
