A 1972 Lake Placid Blue Precision Bass has just arrived!

Based on the neck date “5 JAN 72 B,” two pot dates “304-7211,” and the pickup date “15392” (unverifiable due to foam adhesive on one side; deemed original based on consistent condition), this instrument is believed to be from 1972.Aside from what appears to be solder repair on the pots, an added strap pin above the joint, and a black panel added to the back of the plate to prevent cracking, the instrument is in all-original condition.

Above all, the 1970s Lake Placid Blue finish is extremely rare, so this is not a model you’ll come across very often. The combination with the modern logo also feels fresh and exudes a sense of luxury.
Its supple and clean sound is sure to shine brightly, even within a band ensemble.
