A custom model ordered from a music store! A 2019 Fender Custom Shop Jazz Bass has just arrived!

Although the spec sheet lists “Alder 2pc,” the “White Blonde” color and grain pattern suggest it is likely a 2-piece ash body. The materials include a quarter-sawn maple neck and a round-laminated AAA rosewood fingerboard. Both the body and neck feature a nitrocellulose lacquer finish. The instrument is equipped with 20 Medium Jumbo frets.
Packed with iconic features unique to Custom models, this instrument combines a “White Blonde” finish that reveals the wood grain with a mint-colored pickguard—a style used until around 1964—along with clay dots (seen only in the early ’60s) and the binding paired with dot position marks typical of 1966 specifications.
It’s equipped with the Vintage J-Bass pickup—a true classic. This pickup pairs exceptionally well with the ash and rosewood body, delivering a fast response and crystal-clear tone of the highest quality. Overall, it produces a well-balanced sound that’s different from a standard Fender in the best possible way. This is definitely a guitar you’ll want to use for home recording and studio sessions. It will be interesting to see how its tone matures over time.

Playability is excellent, and it shows almost no signs of use.
