ネックデイトAPR 11 1977、ボディデイトJUN 16 1977、ポットデイト137-7728,137-7727,判読不可。以上より総合して1977年製と判断いたしました。紛れもないPre Ernie期の個体と見られます。判読不可と判断したポットですが、ハンダ修正の跡が見受けられること、他のポットは側面にデイトが印字されているのに対し、こちらのみ側面に印字が見られないことから、交換されている可能性も否めません。
ワイルドな杢目が映えるボディに加え、少量ながらバーズアイが見られる指板などルックス面での貫禄はさすがの一言。コンターのないボディや裏通しを採用したブリッジ等、当時の仕様が詰まっています。
もちろんサウンドも極上。ブーストオンリーの2Band EQは皆様のイメージされるそれと違わない、まさに唯一無二のアイデンティティです。
入荷後すぐにリフレットを施しプレイアビリティは抜群。それに伴い指板面の再塗装が行われております。トラスロッドは締め方向に動作固めですが、180度までは確認出来ました。現状弦高のセッティングがやや高めですので、シムによる調整を視野に入れることもご検討いただいても良いかもしれません。またオリジナルのピックガードが欠品しております。固定しないタイプのものが付属しますが、穴は空いていません。

A vintage StingRay ready to play right out of the box has just arrived!
Neck date: APR 11 1977; body date: JUN 16 1977; pot dates: 137-7728, 137-7727, and one illegible.Based on the above, we have determined this guitar to be a 1977 model. It is unmistakably a pre-Ernie-era instrument. Regarding the pot we deemed illegible: since there are signs of solder repairs, and while the dates are printed on the sides of the other pots, this one alone shows no such markings, we cannot rule out the possibility that it has been replaced.
With a body featuring striking wild grain and a fingerboard that shows a small amount of bird’s-eye figure, its visual presence is truly impressive. It’s packed with period-specific features, such as a non-contoured body and a bridge with a through-body design.
Of course, the sound is also superb. The boost-only 2-band EQ is exactly what you’d imagine—it’s truly a one-of-a-kind signature sound.
We refretted it immediately upon arrival, so playability is outstanding. As part of this process, the fingerboard surface was also refinished. The truss rod is a bit stiff when tightening, but we confirmed it moves up to 180 degrees. The current string action is set slightly high, so you might want to consider adjusting it with shims. Also, the original pickguard is missing. A non-screw-on type is included, but there are no holes drilled for it.
