USED Tokai / 1979 ST-60 / Springy Sound / Golden Sunburst [05]

A 1979 Tokai ST-60 has just arrived!!

This ST-type guitar, crafted by Tokai Gakki Seizo, is highly popular both domestically and internationally thanks to its excellent build quality.
It’s from the “SPRINGY SOUND” decal era, and based on the serial number on the plate, it’s likely a 1979 model.

The “60” engraving at the fingerboard end indicates it is an ST-60; there is a “3=8” stamp at the neck end; and a “3=8 GS” stamp in the front pickup cavity. We have confirmed that the neck and body are original and that the finish is Golden Sunburst.

The pickups are the original models.
They are gray bobbin-type pickups stamped with an “E.”
As for the electronic components, everything except the pickups has been replaced from the original, but the removed parts are included. Functionality has not been verified, and the capacitor has been removed and is missing.

The frets have become quite low due to years of heavy use, but since they are original, we are listing the instrument as-is.
If you’d like a setup better suited to your playing style, we recommend refretting; however, please note that the engraving at the end of the fingerboard may be erased during the adjustment process.

There are burn marks on the headstock, along with scratches, dents, and damage to metal parts—all signs of wear and tear typical of an instrument that has stood the test of time.
