シリーズ発売40周年を迎えることを機に7年ぶりにモデルチェンジしたYAMAHA BBが登場致しました。
デザインの見直しを行い、「BBシリーズ」らしい雰囲気を残しながらも洗練された現代的なデザインに仕上げました。ボディなどの形状をスリムにしたことで、演奏性も向上しています。また3プライ(3層)構造のボディとマイター・ボルティング方式のネックジョイントを新たに採用し、ボディ鳴りの向上を徹底的に追求しました。
弦振動やボディ振動の効率の向上に加えて耐久性も向上し、スリムながらよく鳴るタフなベースとなっています。さらに新開発のピックアップを搭載し、「BBシリーズ」の特長である迫力のある太い低音はそのままに、より存在感のあるクリアなサウンドを実現しました。こちらはパッシブにも切り替え可能なアクティブサーキットを搭載したモデルです。

The versatile BB734A with active/passive switching
To mark the 40th anniversary of the series, the YAMAHA BB has been redesigned for the first time in seven years.
The design has been revised to create a refined, modern look while retaining the distinctive character of the "BB Series." The body and other components have been slimmed down, improving playability. Additionally, a new 3-ply body construction and a miter-bolted neck joint have been adopted to thoroughly enhance the body’s resonance.
In addition to improving the efficiency of string and body vibration, durability has also been enhanced, resulting in a slim yet resonant and rugged bass. Furthermore, equipped with newly developed pickups, it delivers a clear sound with greater presence while retaining the powerful, thick bass characteristic of the "BB Series." This model features an active circuit that can be switched to passive mode.
