The new BB series features a 3-ply alder/maple/alder body construction. The hard maple sandwiched between the alder on both sides enriches the midrange and produces a resonant tone that blends seamlessly into the band’s sound. Furthermore, the use of maple for the body allows for direct sound transmission from the maple neck, reducing sound loss between the body and neck and ensuring that string vibrations are reliably captured.
Newly Developed Pickup: YGD Custom V7
Features a newly developed, proprietary pickup. Combined with the alder/maple/alder body construction, it delivers a clear, cutting sound that stands out in a band setting. Available on the 700 Grade and Pro Grade models.
Active Circuit
The 700 Grade of the new BB allows you to switch between active and passive circuits with a single switch. The active circuit is tuned specifically for the new BB’s well-defined tone. Furthermore, the treble knob on the 3-band EQ functions as the master tone control when using the passive circuit, yet its delicate design ensures there is no volume difference when switching.This allows for smooth, stress-free switching with natural tone adjustment. High-quality gold-plated parts are used to minimize the risk of poor contact or sound quality degradation. The battery alert LED on the back panel lights up to warn you when it’s time to replace the batteries, preventing sudden power loss on stage.
Controller Section
The new BB700 grade features a 3-band active equalizer, an active/passive circuit switch to flexibly accommodate the player’s desired tone, and a pickup balancer.
