USED GRETSCH / 1967 6122 Country Gentleman [06]

A '67 Country Gentleman comes in in player's condition!

Famous for its use by George Harrison, this model features a 17" wide by 2" thick full-acoustic construction maple body with 2-piece maple neck and rosewood fingerboard wood construction.
It has no holes on the surface of the body with rimless simulated f-holes, and the inside of the body can be accessed by removing the panel under the body back cover. The pickups are patent numbered.

The pickups are two Filtertrons with patent number engraved on them, and the controls include three knobs (master vol, front vol, and rear vol), a PU selector, a three-step tone switch, and a mute switch on the outputs.

The pegs are original Grover, the tailpiece is a gold Bigsby B6, the bridge has been replaced with a Schaller "STM-G" and the pedestal has been replaced.
The mute mechanism works properly, but the sponge has been replaced.

The head surface has been over-lacquered and the binding has been rewound except for the head surface. The head surface has cracks in the paint and the binding is cracked and chipped.
The nut has been replaced and refretted, and the pickguard has a crack, but it has been glued and repaired.
The knob for the strap pin on the bridge side is stuck and cannot be removed because the whole screw comes off when you try to remove it. The panel on the back of the body is distorted due to shrinkage caused by age.
There are other scratches and dents that are consistent with the age of the instrument, but there are no problems with the playing condition.

The binding corrosion is a concern for vintage Gretsch guitars, but the binding has been rewound and is now in good condition for comfortable use. Recommended for those who are looking for a vintage Gretsch that can be used well now.
