A new world of drive.
The Riverside is a pedal that can be described as the culmination of Strymon’s work. By analyzing numerous analog and tube circuits, it offers exceptionally wide dynamic range, a rich harmonic structure, and a tone reminiscent of tube drive.

The analog input stage consists of a class-A JFET multi-stage gain circuit. This stage is digitally controlled to ensure the signal is sent to the subsequent DSP gain stage while maintaining maximum headroom. Furthermore, this section faithfully reproduces the player’s touch, nuances, and response to the guitar’s volume control—just as if the guitar were plugged directly into a tube amp.That signal generates the complex harmonic structure that forms the basis of the distortion in the DSP section.

Whether you’re playing clean, mild overdrive, high-gain lead, or heavy saturated distortion—no matter the gain setting—you can produce the ultimate sound.

While there are signs of wear such as scratches and dirt, there are currently no operational issues.
