We’ve received a used CIPILICA L-5 model!

CIPILICA is a brand of handmade archtop and fully acoustic guitars crafted by Mr. Ando, an independent luthier based in Hokkaido. Mr. Ando also crafts guitars under the brand name Anchan.

According to the label, this instrument was built in February 2014. It features a 17-inch body, similar to the L-5, with a Sitka spruce top, maple sides and back, and a smoothly rounded C-shaped neck made of maple and likely padauk (5-piece construction). The bridge is rosewood, and the fingerboard and tailpiece are ebony.
The top and back are solid, hand-carved pieces, and the maple used for the neck, sides, and back displays dense flame grain, clearly indicating that high-quality wood was used in its construction.

It boasts a luxurious appearance with gold Kluson waffle-pattern tuners, laminated binding, and mother-of-pearl block inlays; the flowerpot inlay on the headstock top, the inlays on the back of the headstock, and the stinger design, in particular, exude a sense of high-end sophistication.
It is equipped with a Benedetto S-6 pickup, which faithfully reproduces the instrument’s rich, acoustic tone.

The screw on the truss rod cover has been replaced, and there is a crack in the screw hole at the top of the cover.
There are fine dents and scuffs across the entire body, as well as pick marks on the pickguard.
There is a crack in the finish at the neck joint, and the binding on the inside of the cutaway has a crack and some color transfer.
Since its arrival, the guitar has been cleaned, the frets have been leveled, and a full adjustment has been performed, so it is ready for use without any issues.

The included hard case is slightly tight.
