USED SUHR / Standard Quilted Maple Top Trans Blue [06]

The Suhr Guitar Standard TRANS BLUE has arrived.

It’s a 2005 model with a four-digit serial number. The neck pocket features the signature of Kenny Gin, who served as a master builder at the early Fender Custom Shop before putting his skills to work at the newly founded Suhr Guitars. Additionally, John Suhr’s signature is on the back of the headstock, making this a truly unique early Suhr guitar.

The body features the golden combination of a 3/16" quilted maple top and basswood, paired with a maple neck and African rosewood fingerboard.
It features a TransBlue-colored matching headstock, scalloped binding, and optional Avalon dots and Avalon logo.
The neck profile is “Even C Slim .800–.880,” and combined with a 10–14-inch radius fingerboard and 6155-size stainless steel frets, it offers smooth playability all the way up to the high frets.
It features Sperzel locking tuners and an SSH pickup configuration consisting of a JS Noise Free Single-N/M and a JST DSH humbucker.
Although the bridge is equipped with a piezo-equipped saddle, this guitar does not have a piezo output. This saddle was originally adopted during a period when this model, along with others, was designed to support Buzz Feiten tuning, as it produced a better sound.

There are signs of wear, including dents on the 6th-string horn, dents on the body side, paint lifting at the base of the headstock, and fine play scratches on the top of the body.
The entrance to the hex nut hole for the truss rod adjustment is slightly stripped, but it can be turned without issue using a longer wrench.
The instrument has been cleaned and fully adjusted since arrival.
