The Japanese-made Yamaha A Series of electro-acoustic guitars, highly regarded for both quality and sound!

The slim, folk-sized body with a single cutaway features a “Solid Sitka spruce” top treated with Yamaha’s proprietary A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) technology—which delivers a rich tone that sounds as if the instrument has been played for years, even when brand new—while the sides and back are crafted from “Solid Rosewood.”
The new scalloped bracing design on the top, combined with a single, shorter brace on the back than in previous models, results in a more powerful and rich volume in the mid-to-low range, taking expressiveness to the next level.

Equipped with a newly developed pickup and preamp system (SRT2 Pickup System: SYSTEM71), it blends the acoustic sound picked up by the piezo with sound recorded using vintage microphones in a recording studio, achieving a spacious tone on stage that sounds as if it were recorded with a microphone.
You can adjust the blend ratio between the piezo pickup sound and the microphone sound, and by switching between sounds recorded with two different microphones, you can freely customize the tone to suit your playing style and the song’s mood.

The neck design ensures comfortable playability without any discomfort, whether you’re switching from an electric guitar to an acoustic guitar on stage or recording or practicing with complex open tunings.
The finish on the back of the neck, along with its cross-sectional shape and chamfered edges, ensures comfortable playing in the higher frets, providing a grip that offers excellent playability not only on stage but in any performance setting.

The simple binding, which highlights the wood grain, creates a warm and soothing feel, while the distinctive pickguard is inspired by the design of the “N1000,” released in 1975 and beloved by top artists.

The A5 Series, the flagship model of the A Series, is Made in Japan. The headstock binding and tuning machines are meticulously crafted to meet the demands of professional guitarists, offering high reliability and a premium feel.
