USED Hofner / 500/1 (Made in Germany / 2.15kg) Hefner Violin Bass Electric Bass [08]

Like Rickenbacker, this violin bass is world famous for its use by Paul McCartney of The Beatles. This is a Made In Germany Violin Bass 500-1 by Hefner.

It features decal logo with umlaut, one-piece neck, independent open gear pegs, binding-wound neck, round-shaped neck heel and strap pins, unique control panel, and lightweight hollowbody.

The soft, poppy sound of the lightweight hollowbody makes this model an essential part of the Liverpool sound.

The control panel, pots, SW, knobs, and selectors have all been replaced due to deterioration of the electrical system. It shows signs of use (color fading, dents and scratches, scuffs and play marks, picking marks, greenish blue/cloudy/bitz/rust on metal parts and screws, and other exterior damage).

The fretboard has been set up (cleaned, strings replaced, rods adjusted, ground plate made, control panel rewired, etc.) upon arrival, and the originally low fret board is high enough to play well.
