The Ludwig 404, a classic Ludwig model that is considered a masterpiece of aluminum snare, is estimated to be from the mid-1970s based on its serial number.

It boasts a history of nearly 50 years, and the dry sustain produced by the seamless aluminum shell and the mild, midrange-focused tone create a unique presence.

The 70's model is a popular generation with thinner hoops and a slightly milder tone than the current model, but still easy to use.

The main parts (including the hoop) of this unit appear to be original, and there are some scratches and stains commensurate with its age, but the snappiness is also original sounding, and the tone is good.
There are no problems with tuning or inner mute/strainer operation.

The head has been replaced with a new one, but it is still original!
This vintage snare is still good enough to use.

シリアルから1970年代中期のモデルと推測される、アルミスネアの名器と称されるLudwigの定番モデル、404。

50年近い歴史を誇り、シームレスアルミシェルの生み出すドライなサステインと
マイルドでミッドレンジにフォーカスされたトーンが独特の存在感を生み出しています。
70年代のモデルはフープも薄めで、トーンも現行より若干マイルドながらも使いやすい人気の世代です。

こちらの個体は主要なパーツ(フープも)はオリジナルのようで、年代相応の傷や汚れはございますが、スナッピーもオリジナルサウンドで、音色良好。
チューニングやインナーミュート・ストレイナーの動作には問題ございません。

ヘッドは現行品に交換されてはいますが、プルオリジナル！
まだまだ十分使えるヴィンテージスネアです。
