USED Fender Japan / ST54-500 BLK (Black) [3.17 kg / Manufactured in 1991]

A '54-style model featuring a triangle grip (V-shape) neck, button-style string guide, and a single-ply pickguard.

This is a Fender Japan ST54-500 (Neck Date: 7/10/91) manufactured in 1991. It features a basswood body, a one-piece maple neck, and ST-VITAGE pickups in the front and center positions. The neck side of the joint is marked "ST-54" and the body side is marked "STD-57."

This is a V-shaped neck favored by seasoned players, finished with a sophisticated, vintage look.

The rear pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan 1BC single-size humbucker, and the nut has been replaced and the frets refretted. There are signs of use (sun fading, small scratches and scuffs around the headstock and along the outer edges, wear and playing lines, picking marks, damage and processing marks around the fingerboard, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts, etc.).

Setup (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fretting) was performed upon arrival. The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been checked up to 60° in both directions and is in good working order.
