USED LUDWIG / 1964 No.410 14x5 Super Sensitive Snare Drum [08]

This is a rare and highly sought after early Radialoy 410, Super Sensitive, circa 1964.
It comes with a red felt bass bar butt mute and is believed to be around 1964.

The shell is so called Radialoy, which is said to be chrome-plated aluminum, and the hoop is the original 10-tension brass hoop from this period.
Therefore, the comfortable midrange of the Radialoy shell and the volume and fatness of the brass hoop are in harmony, resulting in a very well-balanced and rich sound.
The dynamics of the fine response is good, and the fat sound when rimmed is powerful.
This is RADIC! The sound is very bright and clear.

The snare is in such good condition that it is hard to believe that it is over 60 years old. The plating is in very good condition overall, with only a little flaking on some bottom edges.
Parts are in good condition, and the other switches work fine and sound good.
Unfortunately, one of the original snappers has been cut off, but the condition is safe enough to use, and snares do not come around very often.
