USED YAMAHA / GC-30C Cedar/Rosewood Yoichiro Suzuki 1975 Yamaha Classical Guitar Grand Concert Series Made in Japan [08]

This is Yamaha’s top-of-the-line handcrafted classical guitar (Grand Concert Series), the GC-30C, manufactured in 1975.

The “GC30” series, introduced in 1974, incorporates the techniques of Spanish luthier Manuel Hernández and was crafted by Yamaha’s in-house master luthiers. It features a solid American cedar top, solid rosewood sides and back, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard, and a shellac finish.

It has a distinctive, aged appearance. While the shellac finish shows noticeable reddish discoloration and fine weather cracks, and there are visible cosmetic imperfections such as impact marks, scratches, scuffs, playing lines, picking marks, fingering marks on the fingerboard, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, it is in good condition considering its age.

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, fixing loose frets, and lowering the saddle), and the frets are at a height that poses no problem for playing.
