This is the Five2-STD, a 5-string passive bass made by Momose, a brand named after Asuka Factory’s master builder, Yasuo Momose.

It features an ash body with a recessed joint plate, a straight-grained/quarter-sawn maple neck, a rosewood fingerboard meticulously bound with the same wood, a Momose VJ-5 pickup, a DEL RITMO capacitor, a GOTOH/404BO-5 bridge, GOTOH/GB11W tuners, and a top lacquer finish.(Since it lacks a laser-engraved logo and Turbo SW, the official model name—whether MJ・Five2-STD/R or MJ・Five2-STD/NJ—is unknown.)

This guitar is characterized by contemporary playability and a sound brimming with both modern and vintage flavors; its ease of handling is also a major appeal.
