The TRBX505 is part of the TRBX500 Series of active 5-string basses, combining the clear sound and playability that are hallmarks of Yamaha basses.

It features a three-dimensional contoured mahogany body, a 5-piece maple and mahogany neck with a 43mm nut—which is slim for a 5-string—a 24-fret rosewood fingerboard, and controls for Volume, Balance, 3-band EQ, and an Active/Passive switch; the back panel also includes a battery alert.

This versatile model delivers precise sound shaping and is recommended for both beginners to 5-string basses and intermediate players switching to an active bass.

Signs of use (such as scuffs, playwear, picking marks, string marks on the pickup bobbins, and cosmetic damage to metal parts and screws, including discoloration, tarnish, and pitting) are visible.

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, string height adjustment, and fret shaping). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening); operation has been confirmed up to ±60°.
