The "Mando-Strat 8," manufactured in 2013, is a reissue model based on Fender Electric Mandolins from the 1950s and 1960s, featuring modern updates.

The “Mando-Strat 8” is the 8-string version of the 4-string “Mando-Strat.” It features an alder body, a maple neck, a Fender Electric XII-style headstock, a rosewood fingerboard, custom-designed pickups, and an 8-string configuration with two pickups per string, along with Volume and Tone controls.

This modern model combines the brilliant tone characteristic of traditional mandolins with the attractive style of the Fender 4-string electric mandolins that appeared from the 1950s through the 1960s.

There are signs of wear (such as minor scratches, scuffs, wear marks, playing lines, picking marks, and cosmetic damage to metal parts and screws, including tarnish, pitting, and rust).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment). The frets are at a height that does not interfere with playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening); it has been verified to function properly within a range of ±60°.
