USED Greco / EG500T (Tobacco Brown) [4.03 kg / Manufactured in 1979]

This is the Greco LP-type EG500.

Only the 1979 models feature the “GRECO” logo used on the legendary “MR” and “GO” series, but this one was manufactured in the first half of 1979 (February 1979) and closely reflects the specifications from the 1978 catalog.

The body is white sycamore, with a maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, and fret binding. It features two original U-1000 pickups (290202), metal-plate insert knobs, and a truss rod cover bearing the word “Standard.”

This is a 1970s Greco that is highly regarded overseas as a “Japan Vintage” model.

Tuning pegs replaced (with repair marks on the original peg holes); nut, switch plate, and toggle switch knob replaced; two pickup covers and the pickguard are missing.Signs of wear are visible (deterioration and shrinkage of the neck and body binding, unevenness in the finish, minor scratches and scuffs, wear marks from playing, picking marks, buckle marks, verdigris, clouding, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, and other cosmetic damage).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment); the frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening), with operation confirmed up to ±60°.
