1980s Rogers Superten Snare

A SUPERTEN snare drum believed to date from around 1980, featuring a 10-ply maple shell manufactured by Keller.
This wooden snare drum dates from a period when manufacturers were shifting to slightly thicker maple shells to keep up with the trends of the time; it delivers a fat, powerful sound while retaining the characteristic openness typical of Rogers drums.
It has a versatile character highlighted by a bright, neutral maple tone.

As expected for its age, there are minor scratches, pitting, and rust on the bolts, but the shell itself is in good condition.
Although the inner mute doesn’t move quite as smoothly as it used to, there are no noticeable areas of damage, making this a good-quality piece for its age—it’s still in a condition where you can use it with confidence.
