USED K.Yairi / Alvarez Yairi YD-88BK [Made in 1994]

This is a K. Yairi “Alvarez Yairi” electric-acoustic guitar (model YD-88 BK), manufactured in 1994 for the international market.

K. Yairi, a world-renowned acoustic guitar brand, is manufactured in Kani City, Gifu Prefecture. This electro-acoustic model features no soundhole and is equipped with anti-feedback measures.

It features the classic tulip-shaped headstock, an NB DUCER PR-400 preamp, a strap pin at the neck heel, and a back panel mounted on the underside of the body. The guitar is equipped with a solid spruce top, plywood sides and back, a mahogany neck, an ebony fingerboard and bridge, and gold hardware.

This electro-acoustic model has garnered significant attention in the past for being used by Paul McCartney and enjoys the deep trust of artists both in Japan and abroad.

Signs of use are visible (including paint chips on the headstock top near the 6th–3rd string tuner mounts, discoloration from sun exposure and on the binding, minor scratches and scrapes around the perimeter, scuffs and playing lines, picking marks, ring marks on the back of the neck and paint peeling on the volute, as well as tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

Set up upon arrival (cleaned, strings replaced, truss rod adjusted, frets leveled); the frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions (tightening and loosening) up to ±60°, which has been verified and is in good working order.

Condition Grade: B: Shows significant scratches and signs of use, but is suitable for normal use.
