USED Takamine / LTD-2005 [Manufactured in 2005]

The 2005 LIMITED EDITION model is characterized by its fantastical body top decoration and fingerboard inlays.

This is the Takamine LTD-2005.The soundhole rosette, crafted from a combination of wenge, silverheart, rosewood, and ovangkol, depicts “reeds swaying in the wind and floating cotton seeds,” while the fingerboard features an inlay depicting “flying seeds.” It features a solid spruce top, X-bracing, a solid sapele back, sapele sides, a mahogany neck, and a striped ebony fingerboard.

The preamp has been replaced with the current CT-4BII (PTU) model, which includes a built-in tuner. This limited-edition model has garnered significant attention both domestically and internationally, and its excellent playability and wide range of tonal variations are among its key attractions.

Signs of use are visible (including discoloration, a whitish haze on the top of the headstock and overall body, minor scratches and scuffs on the tip of the headstock and outer edges, scuffs and playing marks, picking marks, a glossy sheen and ring marks on the back of the neck from playing, and tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, saddle adjustment, preamp replacement, wiring plug reinforcement, lapping, and deburring). The frets are at a height that poses no issues for playing, and the truss rod can be adjusted in both tightening and loosening directions; operation has been confirmed up to ±60°.

Condition Grade: B+: Some scratches are present, but the instrument is suitable for normal use.
