USED Fender Custom Shop / Team Built Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster, black [3.77 kg / Manufactured in 2011]

Like the “Master Build,” the “Team Built Custom” model is primarily a limited-run, made-to-order model produced by music stores and dealers.

Based on “Blackie”—the Stratocaster synonymous with Eric Clapton, which he cherished as his main guitar until his retirement—this is the Fender Custom Shop Eric Clapton Stratocaster.

It features a select alder body, a soft V-shaped one-piece figured maple neck, a 648mm (25.5") scale length, a 9.5R fretboard radius, and a 42mm nut. It is equipped with three Vintage Noiseless pickups, volume and tone controls, and a 25dB mid-boost.

Crafted by the Custom Shop using the exact same specifications as the guitar Clapton himself played, this Clapton model excels not only in its authentic design but also in playability and tone.

Although it shows slight signs of use (scratches, wipe marks, the characteristic warping of the 8-screw pickguard—which is also present on Clapton’s actual guitar—and tarnish on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic imperfections), it is in good condition. The case is white Tolex rather than tweed.

It was set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string action adjustment). The frets are at a height that poses no problem for playing, and the truss rod has been checked up to 60 degrees on both sides and is in good working order.
