The RG series, part of Ibanez's flagship "J.Custom" electric guitar lineup, is highly regarded for its exceptional playability and functionality. This is an Ibanez J.Custom RG8420ZD, manufactured in 2015.

Features an AAA flame maple top and African mahogany back; an RG J Custom-shaped 5-piece maple/walnut neck with KTS titanium rods;natural binding, a rosewood fingerboard with “Tree of Life” inlays, a spherically shaped custom treatment on the fret edges, Seymour Duncan SH-2N JAZZ and TB-14 Custom 5 pickups, a 5-way selector switch, recessed knobs, and an Edge-Zero tremolo with the ZPS3 Zero-Point System.

It boasts an elegant appearance—featuring beautiful grain, luxurious inlays, and Cosmo Black hardware—combined with excellent playability. The direct-mounted pickups contribute to its quick response, making it highly recommended for technical players.

The lockpin hardware is missing, and one spring silencer has been added. There are signs of wear (such as dents on the outer edges and cutaway, minor scratches and scuffs across the body, scuffs and wipe marks, picking marks, and discoloration, clouding, pitting, and rust on metal parts and screws, among other cosmetic damage).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and string action adjustment). The frets are at a height suitable for playing, and the truss rod has been tested up to 60 degrees in both directions and is in good working order.
