USED Fender Japan / JB62-FL WAL Order Model MBR [4.22 kg / Manufactured 1990–1991]

A non-catalog fretless Jazz Bass from Fender Japan.

Based on the Fender Japan JB62 WAL K-073 MBR, this fretless model was manufactured in 1990–1991 (by Fujigen). It features a walnut finish in MBR (Matte Brown) with a matching paint job from the back of the neck to the top of the headstock, gold hardware, and a fretless design with line markings. It has an ash body and a maple neck; although the pickups are not listed, they are original.

The MBR series, known for its refined looks, was sold alongside similar Stratocaster models and is characterized by its understated, vintage charm.

The strap pins have been replaced with Schaller-type pins (without lock pins; the ends are reinforced with washers), and the three knobs have likely been replaced.Signs of use are visible (impact marks and paint chips around the body’s perimeter; minor scratches and scuffs; wear and wipe marks; picking marks; buckle marks; sticker residue on the pickguard; gloss and ring marks on the back of the neck from playing; discoloration, tarnish, pitting, and rust on metal parts, etc.).

Set up upon arrival (cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment); the truss rod can be adjusted in both directions and has been tested to operate within a range of ±60°.
