This Swamp Ash Special, built in 2023, features a Paul Reed Smith (PRS) H-S-H pickup configuration.

The Swamp Ash Special is a favorite among jazz, blues, and country players. It features a swamp ash body, a bolt-on maple neck, a maple fingerboard, and PRS-designed 85/15 “S” and AS-01 pickups in an H-S-H configuration, with coil-split functionality via the Tone-Pull switch.

Compared to the Custom24 and Custom22, it’s characterized by a crisp, bright tone, and its wide range of tonal variations is another major appeal.

There are signs of wear (scratches, play marks, picking marks, tarnish or pitting on metal parts and screws, and other cosmetic damage).

It was set up upon arrival (fret leveling, nut slot adjustment, cleaning, string replacement, truss rod adjustment, octave adjustment, and action adjustment). While the fret tops are on the lower side due to leveling, they are still at a height suitable for playing. The truss rod can be adjusted in both tightening and loosening directions and has been tested to operate within a range of ±60°.
