To mark the 40th anniversary of the series, the Yamaha BB has been redesigned for the first time in seven years.
The design has been revised to create a refined, modern look while retaining the distinctive character of the "BB Series." The body and other components have been slimmed down, improving playability. Additionally, a new 3-ply body construction and a miter-bolted neck joint have been adopted to thoroughly enhance the body’s resonance.
In addition to improving the efficiency of string and body vibration, durability has also been enhanced, resulting in a slim yet resonant and rugged bass. Furthermore, equipped with a newly developed pickup, it delivers a clear sound with greater presence while retaining the powerful, thick bass characteristic of the "BB Series." This model features an active circuit that can be switched to passive mode.
