Featuring a carbon graphite top, this top-tier Super Adamas is the envy of many players. This model features a cutaway and a deep-bowl body back.
The neck is a 2-piece walnut construction with a walnut fingerboard. It features the familiar triangular neck shape, and the nut width is approximately 42.8 mm. The preamp is a simple 3-band OP24, and the tuners are original Schaller.

Given its specifications, the body shows no signs of wear, but there are faint finger marks on the lower frets of the fingerboard, indicating it has been used appropriately for its age. Additionally, while there is some noticeable warping on the top, it is not particularly prominent and is also consistent with its age. There are minor scuffs around the headstock, but nothing stands out. Since the preamp is simple, there are no preamp malfunctions commonly seen in Adamas models.

The neck condition is generally sound; the truss rod can be adjusted both tight and loose, and there is still some room to tighten it further. The frets show no noticeable string marks and have about 70% of their original material remaining. The current string action is set to approximately 2.5mm on the 6th string and 2.0mm on the 1st string at the 12th fret. Since there is a shim under the saddle, further adjustment is still possible.

Overall, the condition shows no noticeable signs of wear for its age. It delivers that iconic sound that defined an era—featuring the exquisite compression typical of a carbon top and ample resonance from the deep bowl! When amplified, the clear, well-defined tone is truly unique to the Adamas. How about this coveted Super Adamas?
